Nor-Cal Bus Fest II
Solano County Fairgrounds in Vallejo, CA
This display and swap event is open to ALL Volkswagen buses and trucks regardless of year, model or condition.
Held on the tree-shaded lawns of the fairgrounds, the inaugural event in 2007 featured 147 buses and trucks, from daily drivers to full restorations.
General admission is only $10 per adult which includes entry, space to display or sell your Type II and/or swap parts.

6th Annual Bus Benefit 2008
Grand Rapids, MI
Hello Fellow Volks Folks,
We are less than one month away from the 6th annual "Bus Benefit" hosted by Buses By the Beach.com and Sponsored by GoWesty.com and Shell Oil!
We will be meeting in Grand Rapids, MI May 15th -- 18th 2008. This event is our main fund raiser for Burn Survivors. We are really looking forward to seeing everyone and it looks like we are going to have another great turn out again this year of Bus Pilots from all over the US and Canada!

The weekend's festivities include:
  • Thursday night Welcome Reception and Beer Tasting from the Hideout Brewery.
  • Silent Auction and Raffle of VW related items.
  • Friday night Bluegrass Jam. (Band to be announced)
  • Live music with the Stone Boogie Band on Saturday Night. (Roots Rock Genre)
  • Saturday morning Carabus with Fire Department and Law Enforcement escort to the Burn Survivor Car Show. There will be over 500 cars at the car show.
  • Blessing of the Buses with Pastor Jason Hubbard. A Non-Dominational ceremony to wish everyone many blessings for a safe and healthy camping season. Canoe and Kayak Rentals.

This year we will be auctioning off five $100.00 Shell gas cards. This could very well get you home and to work for a while.
New this year we have custom Buses by the Beach pint glasses. Never let your beer be lonely with these beauties.

Make Plans to Celebrate Funfest's 10th Anniversary on May 31st - June 1st 2008 Honoring the Manx Dune Buggy and Special Guest Bruce Meyers
Funfest for Air-cooled VW, is an annual "customer appreciation party" held by Mid America Motorworks on their campus in Effingham, IL. "Funfest for Air-Cooled VW is our way of saying Thanks!' to our loyal air-cooled Volkswagen customers and enthusiasts" said Yager. The two day event has grown steadily over the years to host more than 8,000 enthusiasts, and over 1300 VWs who come together for a whirlwind weekend of special displays, a fun judged car show with awards, swap meet, tech seminars, product demonstrations, ladies' events, kids' events and more.
