2008 VW Parts & Accessories Swap Meet
DuPage County Fairgrounds, Building #3 2015 West Manchester Road Wheaton, IL The Northeast Illinois Volkswagen Association invites you to 2008 VW Parts & Accessories Swap Meet. 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM Setup begins at 7:00 AM NIVA Members - $20.00 per Swap Space Non-Members - $25.00 per Swap Space Spectators are FREE and there is plenty of parking. Due to the success of last year’s swap meet, NIVA has reserved a larger space for this year’s INDOOR swap meet. We invite you to purchase a vendor space and bring out whatever VW parts, accessories or goodies that you wish. Please bring any tables or chairs that you will need, or you can reserve 8' x 30" tables in advance for $5.00 each. This would be the perfect opportunity for VW enthusiasts from northern Illinois to familiarize themselves with your business. 2nd Annual Lakeland VW Classic
The Lakeland VW Classic will be held at The Lakeland Center, 701 West Lime Street, Lakeland, Fla. 33815-1509 On March 15 gates open at 10am, we will have several bands starting at 4pm. Great food, free balloons for the kids along with a 4in1 moonwalk, giant slide and a lot more fun. Enter to Win a FREE Running 1600 VW Engine There will be a Cruise to Sonic & Wing House, after the concert. Overnight camping will be available, we only have bathrooms available. Admission $4 & can of food. Children 10 & Younger Free, parking $2, Camping is FREE. All campers must pay for both days on Sat. March 16. Sunday - Juggler, balloon artist, and a lot more, we have over 50 classes offered all Show Cars will get 2 Tickets, Goody bag, 1 FREE T-Shirt and a dash plaque. Bugs and Buses Invade the Village 5
at the Historic Kern County Museum, in Bakersfield, California Kern County Park & Museum at 3801 Chester Ave, Bakersfield, California 93308. The Kern County Museum is a 17 acre park with turn of the 20th century historic buildings surrounded by meandering tree lined streets and large grassy lawns. The event will be held SATURDAY, MARCH 29 2008 8AM - 3PM rain or shine. 28 classes of awards. New this year "Pass the Buck" Challenge awards. VW car club with most registered entries at show a $250 cash award. Admission costs $20 per VW car entry including up to 4 people in car, each additional person above 4 costs $5 each. 8X20 swap space costs $40 includes admission of 2 people, additional people in vehicle $5 each. Car with trailer counts as two spaces. Advanced reservation for 10X20 vendor space on the main show lawn $125 advanced or $150 the day of the show and includes admission of 4 people. Sorry food vending spaces are sold out. Sponsorships are available, email for details. VW Bugs and Buses Invade the Village 5 is open to all VW air and water cooled, stock or custom, rare or unique or even your daily driver. There will be food booths at the show with breakfast items, snacks, and hot dogs to tri tip sandwiches for lunch. Activities include, Show and Shine, Swap area and two raffles (including our great vintage cola cooler raffle prizes with 8 great coolers)for adults. For kids we have the hub cap toss, VW pinata, hot wheels races and banana eating contest. For those coming up the day before there will be a cruise leaving from the Kern County Museum at 3801 Chester Ave and cruising to the Sonic Drive in at 1227 Olive Dr at 8pm Friday night. The day of the show the gates do a soft opening at 7:15 to allow swappers and enthusiats more time to set up as well as detail their cars. Overflow parking is available for tow vehicles and trailers.
