8th Annual Mt. Shasta Snow Trip
Lake County, California No entry fees, no speed limits, no stupid rules. Just come prepared to drive some amazing back roads through AMAZING countryside with dozens of cool people who'll soon become your friends. Multiple motels are walking distance away from the houses the majority are staying in. New drivers: The schedule is: Arrive Thursday night at the bridge on Bartlett Springs Road. Driver's meeting at 10PM Thursday night at which time maps with THE routes and information will be passed out. Sleep until 4:00AM Friday morning, followed by the Le Mans Start at 4:30AM. Drive like you stole it! Arrive at Shasta, kick it at the houses or motels, fish, snowboard, ski, hike, shop, party, drive RR service roads with chains on, and relax. Sunday is departure day, and while most of us will head straight back up into the hills for some of the most amazing driving on the trip for the drive back south, drivers will depart the event as need be, but don't overlook the fact that the trip CONTINUES with more wild roads all the way back to the Bay Area... that's if you have time... I DO! Keep turning those wrenches, reserecting that rancid, forgotten heap, and Roll it! Post your progress!
