Frequently Asked Questions
This is the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. Welcome.
We have tried to answer some basic questions here but you can always email us
if you don't see an answer here.
- What is this site about?
The purpose of this site it to give people a place to advertise, for free,
information about their upcoming VW show or event.
- Why are you doing this?
There was a site with a similar name that did this and they have decided to
go out of business. They also charged for listings and that seemed kind of weird
to me. Sorry guys. So since they are going out of business that seemed to leave a hole
in the world so we thought we would try and fill it :)
They had a 9 year run and we can only hope for similar success.
- But some magazines carry this info already, as well as individual club sites.
Correct. But magazines don't have everybody's event listed and you have to
remember to get the info submitted early, etc. and individual clubs are great
but then you have to go to each site and see what's going on.
This way there is one central location for this info
- How do I post an event?
That is easy. Just click on the 'List Your Show' link and fill out the form.
PLEASE make sure we have your contact info! Once we receive your request we will get it
posted, usually within 24 hours.
- What is a 'banner ad'?
That is an image (.bmp, .gif, .jpg) that you provide us and we will post it
on the main page with the rest of the scrolling banners. We will link the image back
to your website too.
Banner ads cost $20.00(US) per month. The default payment option is PayPal but
we will also accept money orders and personal checks. Personal checks have to clear
the bank before we will post your ad.
Email us if you want to use these options.
We set the image width to 400px for banners so if you send us something bigger
than that it may distort. Be careful and if you have any questions just drop us an
email.
- Can I link back to your site?
YES!! Please do. The more exposure this site gets the more the rest of the VW
sites will as well.
- You guys are great but I can't believe you are doing this for free. Is there some
way I can support you?
Thank you. You can support us by buying a banner ad, or you can make a donation
through the 'Donations' link if you don't want or need a banner ad.
Both of these options are voluntary on your part.
You can also help spread the word by telling your friends about the site and
linking back to it.
